ABOUT
The ecosystems of construction and mobility — dynamic drivers of these transformations — must reflect society in all its diversity. And that starts by becoming more gender-inclusive.
The construction sector is under pressure:
65% of recruitment efforts are considered difficult.
Yet it’s a dynamic sector undergoing major transformation: reimagining, designing, adapting, renovating, or building the spaces where we live, work, interact — and the ways we move tomorrow.
About Consequally …
I’m Lena
Harikiopoulos-Cordova
I am Greek (born in Greece to Greek parents).
I arrived in France at age 9. I didn’t speak French.
I have two children (22 and 20) and a husband from the Basque Country.

I love reading, writing, walking, and swimming.
I love movies.
I love the sea, the sun, parties, and travelling.
I love my family, my friends, people in general.
I love animals. I’ve always had them.
I studied at both French and Greek schools through to senior year.
I did theatre and volleyball.
I earned a science-focused high school diploma (maths) with honours.
I did a prep school (twice!) — not my best experience.
I had a blast at engineering school at Centrale Nantes, where I explored all the student associations.
I was a class delegate, student representative, secretary general of the student union, captain of the volleyball team for 10 years, trip organiser, and more.
I have always inspired and guided the people around me.
love it. That’s why I naturally gravitated toward leading teams and managing.
I thrive on it, and it nourishes me.
When I was young, I was fascinated by mythology and temples. I imagined the people who had lived or passed through them. I wanted to be the goddess Athena.
I wanted to build cities and bridges — between them, and between people. That’s what I did.
I contributed to building bridges, roads, railways, in France and around the world.
I’ve met and worked with countless people and drawn nourishment from many cultures.
In 2020, I began an Executive Master’s in Leadership Trajectories at Sciences Po, to take a step back, challenge myself, and better understand today’s ecological, social, and digital transitions.
My first worksite was the Stade de France. Everyone called me “The Girl.”
Unthinkable today, right? I was the site manager for monumental staircases shaped like ship hulls. At the base of one, I engraved my name in the fresh concrete of the formwork.
On another site, one of my managers praised my qualities to the team and management, and concluded:
“Lena is just like one of the guys.” — Arghhh!
Behind Lena …
Lena’s calling has always been clear: in her life, she would build bridges.
For their technical and aesthetic aspects, and as symbols of connection — between places, between men and women.
It was only natural that, after engineering school, she spent the first 25 years of her career in construction, putting her talent and heart into major projects.
Passionate about construction work, she thrives on the energy of worksites, the diversity of roles, and the passion that drives professionals. She has gained solid operational experience in construction professions.
In 2019, a difficult experience changed everything.
The persistent inequalities between men and women in the sector, combined with a deep sense of justice and her personal experience of sexism, gave her the determination to act.
She made up her mind: “We don’t leave women in a corner!”
Women can, want to, and fully belong in the construction sector.
Initially committed to promoting gender equality internally, she soon encountered barriers that only independent expertise can help overcome.
In 2021, Lena defended a professional thesis on increasing gender diversity in the French construction sector
as part of the Executive Master’s in Leadership Trajectories at Sciences Po — a final step before founding LE FOUNCH in 2021, where she prototyped her method, then CONSEQUALLY.
AFNOR technical expert on ISO’s PC 337 committee for drafting the Guidelines for the promotion and implementation of gender equality between women and men (ISO 53800), Lena is committed to helping organisations act pragmatically and operationally on their practices to create lasting change.
Lena is also active in the non-profit sector. As an administrator of the Centrale Nantes Alumni association, she leads the equality, diversity and inclusion committee.
In 2022, she founded and now leads the 5050-Act for Equality project within CNA.
